Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Remedy for an emergency?
Remedy can handle most minor emergencies including stitches, sprains, and broken bones. However, if you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, you should call 911 or proceed to the nearest ER.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations are accepted by phone only (512-900-5844). After booking your appointment, you have 10 minutes to cancel for a full refund. After this, the dispatch fee is non-refundable.
Do you treat children?
Yes! We treat kids age 1 year and up. For children under one, call us and we may be able to help.
Who will treat me?
Remedy sends a medical team including a board-certified physician or licensed advanced practitioner and a medical assistant. Each member of our team has extensive urgent care experience and consistent top-rated reviews in customer care and satisfaction.
Does Remedy accept insurance?
Yes! We collect your urgent care co-pay at the time of your visit and then bill your insurance. Depending on your plan, you may be responsible for additional payments including deductible and/or co-insurance; however, Remedy's prices are competitive with urgent care clinics and affordable.
Do you prescribe painkillers?
Our providers can write a variety of medications that are very effective for acute pain. However, we do not prescribe controlled substances such as hydrocodone (Vicodin) or Xanax. We recommend that you see your primary care doctor for chronic pain conditions.
